Quincy Junior-Senior High School reports that four eighth grade students were invited to attend a special luncheon Nov. 10 with the Rotary Club of Quincy.
Organizers said the students had been nominated for and attended the prestigious Rotary Eighth Grade Leadership Program in September. Attendees were given the opportunity to share with Rotary members insights from their leadership experience, the challenges they embraced, the friendships they formed and affirmations of how the program strengthened their confidence and commitment to serve their community, said Quincy High.
Quincy Rotary points out that the REGL Program empowers eighth grade students to become catalysts for positive change through a transformative scholarship-based experience. “Kudos to these emerging leaders,” said Quincy Rotary.
