Feather River College Athletics announces that the Golden Eagles men’s soccer team delivered a stellar performance Nov. 19 at home in Game 1 of the California Community College Athletic Association NorCal regional playoffs. FRC defeated Foothill College 6-0.
Sophomore Marinho Oldenburg scored three goals and Diego Martin Garcia scored a goal with three assists. Freshmen Mattis May and Lapo Cabianca scored FRC’s two remaining goals.
Sophomore Winston Jory, who was named Golden Valley Conference goalkeeper of the year, recorded another clean sheet in goal, as the Golden Eagles now lead the state with 13 shutouts on the season.
The Golden Eagles will play next at Cañada College in Redwood City tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 22, for the second round of 3C2A regional playoffs. Game time is 2 p.m.
