The Feather River Land Trust invites the community to a plant dyes and watercolors workshop with Ivy Guild Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Reno-based artist Guild will lead the natural dyes workshop at the Sierra Valley Preserve Nature Center. Organizers say participants will discuss the basics of natural dyes, mordants, ethical foraging and creating watercolors. Participants will then forage their own materials on the preserve, draw in the outdoors and watercolor with botanical pigments.
Kids are free with a paying adult. Space is limited to 25 participants. Tickets cost $35 per person.
