The Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce reports that the tree lighting event at Chester Park Nov. 28 included festive activities celebrating local pride and promoting economic development.
Many community members gathered to sing “Silent Night” by candlelight, creating a “beautiful and serene atmosphere that truly reflected the spirit of the season,” said the chamber. Blue Star Moms provided a touching message that underscored the importance of community support and engagement, a core value of the Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce.
Additionally, the chamber thanks the Positive I dance team members for their vibrant and festive performance.

Chamber organizers described the jolly spectacle of Santa and Mrs. Claus spreading holiday cheer with family photos. “A big, warm ‘ho-ho-honorable’ mention goes to the Peninsula Fire Department, especially Chief Gray, for their heroic efforts in escorting Santa and Mrs. Claus down Chester Main Street to Forever Home and Outdoor,” said organizers.
The chamber invites everyone to experience the glow of the lit tree at Chester Park, which lights nightly at 6 p.m.
