Redwoods holds off 4th-quarter charge from Golden Eagles

Women's basketball plays at home today

Feather River College Athletics announces that the Golden Eagles women’s basketball team lost its Jan. 22 home game to College of the Redwoods, which held off a fourth-quarter charge from FRC for a final score of 69-61.

Freshman Ashanti Stewart scored 12 fourth-quarter points in a stout Golden Eagles comeback, but unfortunately the efforts fell short, said coaches. Keziah Maldonado-Lemus led all scorers with 21 points, while Sataijia Warren contributed 10 points.

The Golden Eagles play next today, Jan. 24, versus College of the Siskiyous. The game is set for 1 p.m. at home on the FRC campus. Coaches ask the community to come out and support the team.
