Golden Eagles men’s basketball takes control of conference

Next game set for Jan. 31 at home

Feather River College Athletics announces that the Golden Eagles men’s basketball team has taken control of the Golden Valley Conference with recent wins, seizing first place just before the midpoint of the conference season.

On Jan. 22, FRC defeated College of the Redwoods 78-65 at home. Sophomore Damonte Duhart recorded another double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Freshman guard Zacarrion Jackson was instrumental from the bench, chipping in 12 points and grabbing five boards. Sophomore Kameron Ricks scored 10 points, while leading all players with 15 rebounds. 

The Golden Eagles also won their subsequent game, versus College of the Siskiyous Jan. 24, with a score of 85-64. FRC will play Butte College next. The home game is set for 3 p.m. Jan. 31.
