Plumas County reports that Pacific Gas and Electric Co. has a planned outage scheduled for Friday, May 10, lasting approximately two hours between 10 p.m. and midnight.
The planned power outage is necessary so PG&E crews can safely work on equipment at the Big Meadows substation in Canyon Dam. The outage will impact 1,600 PG&E electric customers, primarily in Greenville, Taylorsville and Crescent Mills.
The county said PG&E has notified impacted customers about the outage by both letter and automated telephone call.
