PDH offers low-cost health screening

Plumas District Hospital in Quincy announces that it will continue to offer its annual low-cost health screenings during the first two weeks of May and October. Potential participants are encouraged to take special note of four primary points:

  • Appointments are necessary. Appointment scheduling opens Monday, April 29. Those interested can call 530-283-2121 and press the star key to schedule.
  • Lab draws will take place in the North Fork Clinic building.
  • Appointments will be available in the mornings, Monday – Friday, 6:30 – 8 a.m., beginning Monday, May 6, and running until Friday, May 17.
  • Walk-ins will not be accepted.

As in past years, the health care package costs $75, payable by cash or check on the day of the event. Insurance will not be billed. Testing includes complete blood count, comprehensive metabolic panel, thyroid stimulating hormone level, and lipid panel. For an additional charge, hemoglobin A1C for diabetes screenings and prostate cancer screenings will also be available.

Participants will receive results through their patient portal, accessible at https://www.pdh.org/patients/healthelife. Participants who do not have a PDH patient portal account will be issued an invitation on the day of their appointment. Participants must not eat for 12 hours prior to the blood draw. Continue normal intake of water and take any medication as usual.
